Isabel Wiseler-Lima

After completing my Master’s degree in Modern Literature at the Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris, I became a teacher at the private high school Fieldgen, where I was also a board member from 2013 to 2017. I joined the Christian Social Party (CSV) in 1985 and am a member of the municipal council of the City of Luxembourg since 2005. In 2017, I was elected as alderwomen to the seven-member college of aldermen to the city of Luxembourg. In my duties as alderwomen from 2017 – 2019, I was responsible for social action, the elderly, social housing, gender equality, integration policy and youth.

In the European Parliament, I am an effective member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Human Rights Committee. I am also a substitute member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy, the Committee on Civil Liberties and Justice and Home Affairs, and the Committee on Artificial Intelligence in a Digital Age.
